Teach Me Tuesday #2
This week we are throwing in a few extras. We have started our homeschool co-op (last week) and it was a blast! The kids loved it and cannot wait to go back this Friday! They are taking classes that they haven’t explored much in the past, so we are taking it upon ourselves to get a little more in depth with the subjects.
My son is taking a “Living Constitution” class so we looked up a site for him to get more familiar with the Bill of Rights. We found this document on billofrightsinstitute.org to print out! I think it is perfect! We will explore this site more in depth over the next few weeks.
We are using our CK-12 Science book from iBooks and it is really awesome. There are links to videos and songs, etc. all throughout the book. I am easily impressed when it comes to technology, but iBook textbooks are by far my favorite things right now!
My little one has been having fun using PBS and Sid the Science kid videos to supplement. He loves Pete the Cat books and using spellingcity.com for his spelling tests. For some reason, he would rather type his words than write them! He has really great penmanship for a 5 year old, though!
Of course, we are doing the same things we always do throughout the day. You can find my go-to list here for days when I’m not feeling creative.
What’s going on in your homeschool this week? We love to hear new ideas!
