Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combie the sugar, butter, cream cheese, salt, vanilla extract and egg yolk. Beat until smooth.
  2. Stir in flour.
  3. Chill dough 1-2 hours or even overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  5. Lightly flour your working surface, roll out 1/2 the dough to about 1/8 of and inch thickness.
  6. Refrigerate the other half until ready to use. Cut dough into shapes with a floured cookie cutter. Place them 1 inch apart on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 7-10 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges start to brown. Cool on cooling rack.
  8. Frost and decorate as desired.
